Hi Erick,
If you are the photographer, please allow me to say how talented you are. Your images touched me. I am an artist; I paint with oils. I am interested in your images of the young Native American boy with the long hair on horseback. I would like to paint his portrait. If the image is under copyright or restriction, I completely understand, and would not paint this without owners permission. I have never contacted a photographer for permission to use a photo before, so I hope I'm going through the proper channels.
Please contact me at prselan@yahoo.com.
My work can be found on Flickr under the name Timetocrow, if you would like to see what I've done thus far.
Thanks so much for your lovely photographs, even if you should choose not to allow me to paint one, they provide wonderful spiritual and artistic inspiration nonetheless.

Eric - I absolutely love the picture that you took of my husband, Jason, in the OR. Amazing photograph. Is there anyway that I could get the picture from you? Contact me if you can. Thanks.

Hi Carol,

One thing to mention - it wasn't a fire that destroyed Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, it was decay. Within a 12-hour period, the city decided the building was a public hazard after a wall of bricks came tumbling down into the street around 7:30 am or so in the morning. Although there is local community organization that was dedicated to saving the church and had been working toward that goal, Houston has a reputation for paving over its history. That being said, time and decay won the battle against the church and at least two generations of local history was brought down in a little more than an hour.

hi Eric,

FANTASTIC pictures of the Mt.Carmel fire aftermath in Houston's Freedmen's Town. I'm
an archaeologist, and I'd like to ask permission to use them (with fullcredit/citation) in a paper I'm writing about some FT issues. Could you please contact me to discuss whether this might be possible? Many thanks, Carol McDavid.

Eric,

I loved the black and white football picture of AVANT, STAATS, SMITH and KEFFER walking for the coin toss. You are an amazing photographer! I would love to purchase this picture for my husband. He is Levi Keffer's Dad.

Thanks,
