Volunteer Park Cafe & Marketplace

One of my first assignments was to make pictures for a restaurant review. I don’t know how other photojournalists feel about shooting food, but I never mind. I love food and rarely if ever miss a meal. Its especially great when the food is well-prepared and the environment leads itself to good pictures. The photos almost make themselves. Great food has great personality.

Cafe Fries: Oven roasted with truffle salt, served with housemade ketchup

Prosciutto & Arugula pizza: Fresh mozzarella and Parmesan.

Trio of Sliders: BBQ pulled pork with sweet onion slaw, coriander chicken with pickled shallots, and a traditional beef burger with tomato jam.
